Nimrod Workman - I Want To Go Where Things Are Beautiful
Nimrod Workman was an American singer, coal miner and trade unionist. He worked in the coal mines of West Virginia from the ages of 14 to 56. He recorded this album A capella at the ripe ol' age of 87. He tells some interesting stories from his youth and his time in the coal mines in between the songs.

Lotus Plaza - The Floodlight Collective
This is the side project of Lockett Pundt, who is also in Deerhunter. Deerhunter is one of those bands whose members all have side projects and the side projects all put out better albums than they do. With this album, Pundt shows that he is a big influence on Deerhunter's sound and doesn't get the credit he deserves. When i think of dream pop, i think of this album. its got the sound and feel of perfectly executed dream pop....probably because it is.

Ultre - The Nest and the Skull
Ultre is a project from Finn McNicholas, a 24 year old musician from Northern England. He has created a really interesting vibe with this album; very creative compositions that are easy to listen to but still elicit a kind of demented beauty.

i have NOT been able to stop listening to this album for about a month now. it is great. i mean, really great. its the most refreshing thing i've heard in a long time. ourself beside me are a trio from Bejing. they ROCK.
